Warm and Comforting

We are completely dedicated to providing a safe, warm and comforting environment for all our elderly residents. We recognise that entering a residential care home can be difficult for all concerned and we try to make the transition as easy as possible by offering any support and assistance we can. Our elderly residential care services ensure the moving in process is as smooth as possible.

Safe and Caring

The success of our home is based on our wonderful care team.  Thanks to them, we have a very happy home and happy residents.  All our residential care team members are highly trained with regular refresher training, and training in the latest best practice, skills and knowledge.  We are extremely proud to be leading the care industry with well over half our team members having an NVQ (or equivalent) qualification and many more studying for one.  Our new team members receive thorough formal inductions and more personal support from their New Starter Champions.

As a result of this ongoing investment in our team and our home, we are very proud to have achieved an Outstanding rating from the Regulator of health and social care services, the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Click here to see the detailed report.

We also consistently receive high ratings on the leading care home review site www.carehome.co.uk.  Click here to see all our reviews.  We value all feedback and particularly appreciate the reviews on www.carehome.co.uk as we know they go to great lengths to verify all reviews are genuine reviews.

We started our day with meaningful household activities that brought purpose and familiarity—polishing cutlery, setting the tables, and hanging out the laundry. These simple, everyday tasks play an important role in promoting independence, dignity, and a sense of achievement. Meaningful activities like these not only support physical movement but also spark memories, encourage conversation, and help our residents feel valued and involved in daily life….Auriol & Margaret really did a great job of lending a helping hand… Margaret & I would like to know what happens to socks when you put them in the washing machine because they came out as odd ones 😂😂😂 #helpinghands #meaningfulactivities #orchardcourt #jasminehealthcare permission obtained to display photographs ... Knit and natter in the sunshine this afternoon—a lovely, relaxed social activity filled with chatter and creativity. Ever wondered where the saying “mind your knitting” comes from?…The phrase “mind your knitting” is an old saying that means focus on your own business or pay attention to what you’re doing.

It comes from a time when knitting was a common, everyday task—especially for women—and required steady attention to avoid mistakes. If someone was distracted, they could easily drop stitches or ruin their work. So being told to “mind your knitting” was a gentle (and sometimes slightly sharp!) reminder to concentrate on your own task rather than getting involved in other people’s matters.

Over time, it became a broader expression used to tell someone to keep their attention where it belongs—much like saying “mind your own business” today…… #craftsinthesun #orchardcourt #jasminehealthcare permission obtained to display photographs

It’s never too late to learn something new! Activity Coordinator Shelly spent time teaching Brian how to knit, and when they completed a full row, it was met with cheers all around. A wonderful reminder that neither age nor gender should ever be a barrier to trying new things and enjoying every moment. #NeverTooLate #orchardcourt #jasminehealthcare permission obtained to display photographs ... Take my hat off to you Shelly. Never in a million years did I think I would see my dad try to knit ! Xx

Pam thoroughly enjoyed watching the virtual fish tank on the Big Pad, where we spent time chatting about the different types of fish and their beautiful colours.
