Orchard Court is an excellent residential care home for the elderly, in the town of Brigg, North Lincolnshire.
We provide personal care of the highest possible quality for all our residents, providing both short-term and long-term residential care for the elderly and those living with dementia. We also provide respite care for elderly people to give their carers a break.
Orchard Court is located just 2 minutes from Brigg town centre. It is an old coach house that retains many beautiful original features, while also having been selectively extended and modernised to offer a high standard of living to all residents. The care home is set in the privacy of extensive grounds and is within walking distance of local amenities including the Post Office, newsagent and chemist.

As an independent care home, we accommodate privately funded and socially funded elderly residents. All our residents are respectfully looked after, with specific attention to their individual care needs. We are completely dedicated to providing a safe, warm and comforting environment for all our elderly residents. We recognise that entering a residential care home can be difficult for all concerned and we try to make the transition as easy as possible by offering any support and assistance we can. Our elderly residential care services ensure the moving in process is as smooth as possible.
Safe and Caring
The success of our home is based on our wonderful care team. Thanks to them, we have a very happy home and happy residents. All our residential care team members are highly trained with regular refresher training, and training in the latest best practice, skills and knowledge. We are extremely proud to be leading the care industry with well over half our team members having an NVQ (or equivalent) qualification and many more studying for one. Our new team members receive thorough formal inductions and more personal support from their New Starter Champions.

And then it was on to RAF Coningsby… ✈️🇬🇧
We were greeted in the visitors’ car park by veteran Colin, who would be our tour guide for the day. From the moment we met him, it was clear we were in for something very special.
Colin first showed us around the museum before taking us into the hangar to see some of the magnificent aircraft. He was an absolute fountain of knowledge, sharing stories, facts and history with us as we went.
But there was one little problem… our Eddie knew most of it already! ❤️
At 102 years young, Eddie’s memory and knowledge were simply incredible. Not only could he talk confidently about everything Colin was telling us, he even shared information and stories that Colin himself didn’t know! We couldn’t help but stand back with enormous pride listening to the two veterans chatting.
After asking if we were permitted to venture outside, Colin escorted us out to see a magnificent Dakota in all her glory. The look on Eddie’s face said everything. He was completely in awe. ✈️
Eddie was introduced to members of the ground crew working on the aircraft, and it was lovely watching their reactions as they listened to the story of our remarkable 102-year-old veteran and heard about his own service.
Then came another incredibly special moment when Eddie was greeted by Squadron Leader Ernie Wise and Flight Lieutenant Seb Davey, who fly the Lancaster and Dakota for those unforgettable ceremonial flypasts and special occasions including the flyby over Buckingham Palace for King Charles Coronation 🇬🇧
Eddie had the opportunity to watch the jets coming and going before Ernie and Seb climbed aboard the Dakota and took her up into the sky. As they headed off, they gave Eddie a wave… and that really was a moment we’ll never forget. 🥹❤️
To see Eddie watching such a magnificent aircraft take to the skies and being treated with so much warmth and respect was incredibly moving. This wasn’t simply a day out — it was a day filled with memories, history, camaraderie and recognition of a life very well lived.
Of course, there was only one way to finish such a remarkable adventure…
Back to Horncastle, where Eddie enjoyed a very well-deserved beer at The Admiral Rodney! 🍺❤️
From an unexpected birthday serenade over lunch, to aircraft, veterans, ground crews, jets and that unforgettable wave from the Dakota…

Where do we even start with this one… ❤️
Yesterday, Tracy, Mandy and Shelly had the absolute privilege of accompanying our wonderful Eddie, 102 years young, on a very special trip to RAF Coningsby. ✈️🇬🇧
But before we even reached our destination, something happened that reminded us just how incredibly kind people can be.
We stopped off in Horncastle for a light lunch, and while we were there, a lovely lady called Sharon came over after hearing about Eddie and asked if she could buy him a piece of cake for his birthday. 🎂❤️
What happened next took us completely by surprise…
She got the whole tearoom to join in and serenade Eddie with Happy Birthday. As the final words were sung, the room erupted into applause for our very special gentleman.
It was one of those moments that catches you completely off guard. Eddie sat there surrounded by complete strangers, all wanting to celebrate his remarkable 102 years, and there were definitely a few emotional faces around the table. 🥹❤️
To the lovely lady who started it all, and to everyone in the tearoom who joined in — thank you. You helped create a beautiful memory for Eddie before his big adventure had even properly begun.

There’s always something that gets us chatting, sharing memories and learning something new — and this morning’s topic certainly gave us a good laugh! 😂
We discovered some rather amusing facts about Thomas Crapper, the famous Victorian plumber whose name has become forever linked with the humble toilet! 🚽

🍁 We’re embracing Autumn today at Orchard Court! 🍁
We’ve enjoyed lots of lovely sensory activities, bringing the sights, textures and memories of the season indoors.
Our Autumn Forage Board sparked so much conversation and curiosity as we explored some of nature’s little wonders. We discovered fascinating facts about rosehips, including their wonderful vitamin C content and how rosehip syrup was given to children during wartime as an important source of vitamin C.
We explored different types of pinecones, felt their different textures and even opened up some conkers to see what was hiding inside. 🌰🌲
Meanwhile, some of our residents have been busy sweeping autumn leaves on our Happiness Projector 🍂 — a simple activity that encouraged movement, coordination and plenty of concentration, while bringing back memories of autumn days and gardens from years gone by.
Sensory activities like these are wonderful for encouraging reminiscence, conversation, curiosity and social interaction. Exploring familiar sights, smells and textures can stimulate the senses and help residents connect with memories, while activities such as virtual leaf sweeping encourage gentle movement, hand-eye coordination and a sense of purpose and achievement #sensory #orchardcourt #jasminehealthcare permission obtained to display photographs
Exciting Changes Are Underway! ✨
We are currently giving our main dining area a fresh new look, so please bear with us while the redecoration takes place.
Over the next couple of days, there may be a few changes to our usual activity schedule as we work around the improvements, but we’ll make sure our residents continue to enjoy plenty of meaningful activities.
We’re really excited to see the finished result! ❤️
Mealtimes are such an important part of the day—not only for enjoying delicious food, but also for conversation, companionship and spending time together. We want our dining room to feel warm, welcoming and inviting, creating a pleasant environment where our residents can relax and truly enjoy their dining experience.
